Kim has been practicing Classical Pilates since 2012 and teaching since 2017. Her teachers Dorothee VandeWalle, April Tillman and Renata Jarvi have been the most influential to her own practice and teaching. She continues learn and grow from her teachers through weekly private sessions and attending continuing education opportunities whenever possible. “I hope to always be learning in life and there is so much to learn and grow from in Pilates that a lifetime of opportunity exists if you are open to it.” - Kim Kay

In August of 2019, she had the amazing opportunity to become the new owner of Urban Pilates. Soon after, she earned the Metropolitan Authentic Training (MAT) certification through our sister studio Metropolitan Pilates in Seattle, WA under the direction of Master Teacher Dorothee Vandewalle.

Kim's infectious enthusiasm for Pilates movement will help you create a strong foundational Classical Pilates practice that will keep you moving and leave you feeling lifted, calm and clear headed.

During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing, listening to music and going for long walks around the neighborhood in search of a good cup of coffee.

Greg recently relocated from Boston to Portland, bringing with him an impressive background in movement and fitness. With over 20 years of experience, he most recently served as a senior instructor at the Smartbody Movement Studio and Summit Orthopedic Therapy in Boston. Greg is well-versed in the Classical Pilates method and the importance of Gratz equipment in teaching Joe's original work.

In addition to his Pilates expertise, Greg is trained and certified in the Gyrotonic Expansion System, having worked closely with its creator, Juliu Horvath, since 2001. His passion for movement extends beyond these disciplines; he has also served as a tenured professor of movement studies at the University of Connecticut for 16 years.

Greg's diverse background includes work as a bodyworker, coach, actor, director, and choreographer. He has contributed to Broadway, the West End, and regional theaters across the United States. As the founding Artistic Director of the Split Knuckle Theater Company, Greg has performed in 22 countries. He holds an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Greg is an accomplished martial artist, holding Black Belts in two Aikido systems. He practices Filipino Martial Arts, Ground Escape fighting, Tai Chi (Yang family style), and is a Golden Gloves boxer, USA Boxing Coach, and certified Personal Trainer. He is also a certified teacher of Authentic Pilates, Gyrotonic, and Gyrokinesis exercise systems, having taught these methods for over 20 years.

Like many bodyworkers, Greg came to movement work through injury, fostering tremendous empathy for those who want to learn to move well and discover the vast potential of the human body. He has worked with clients from all walks of life, including A-list celebrities, athletes, and everyday individuals seeking to improve their quality of life. Greg firmly believes that to understand life, one must understand movement within the body and the world around us.


Jacqueline Latour

Certified Classical Pilates Instructor

Jacqueline began practicing Pilates in 2006 when she discovered it was the perfect workout for her, giving her strength, flexibility and better posture, and it complemented her running routine and life-long interest in fitness and nutrition. Growing up in the beautiful coastal city of Encinitas, California, she has always had an active and healthy lifestyle; traveling the world, running marathons, practicing yoga, hiking mountains, and walking countless city miles, with a little bit of the beach in between.

In 2013 she began a 700 + hour, year-long intensive apprentice program, working with Martt Lawrence at the Pilates Center of San Francisco and world renown instructor Dorothee Vandewalle at Metropolitan Pilates, Seattle. In 2014 Jacqueline earned her teaching certification from Dorothee and began teaching full time in San Francisco at various studios around the city. Since becoming certified, she has continued to deepen her knowledge of Pilates through workshops, conferences and private sessions with world-class Pilates instructors.

Jacqueline loves to teach Pilates to people of all levels and is an active supporter of those seeking healthy lifestyles.


Jenn Falco

Certified Classical Pilates Instructor

Having personally practiced Pilates for more than a decade, beginning after a difficult pregnancy, Jenn is a Certified Third Generation Authentic Pilates Instructor.

Jenn trained under Dorothee VandeWalle, an internationally-recognized Master Teacher who studied with Pilates’ protégé Romana Kryzanowska. Jenn’s program, based in Seattle, Washington, at Metropolitan Pilates, included multiple seminars, personal Pilates sessions, classroom instruction, and both practical and written tests. By the time she completed her program, Jenn had more than 1,000 hours of training and practice under her belt.

Jenn’s goal is to make the power of Pilates accessible to any body, at any level of fitness. Wherever you are today, in six months Jenn wants to see you stronger and more centered.

Jenn has a B.A. degree from Reed College and an M.B.A. from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management. When she’s not working her day job as a management consultant (or training for her next half marathon), she enjoys driving her Mustang, all things sci-fi, and volunteering at the Portland Japanese Garden.
